The ST-type fiber optic adapter is used for the docking of two ST-type connectors. Equipped with a bayonet-style coupling, it is commonly installed on the input and output ports of optical devices and on fiber distribution frames, and it can also serve as the centering connection between two ST-type fiber connectors.
